Account deletion and data export

Download a copy of your data

1. Sign in to Margent.
2. Open your profile and tap the settings button.
3. Under Data and privacy, choose Download a copy of my data.
4. Save the JSON file through the iOS share sheet.

The file includes your profile, private library, tags, return history, device information, and safe information about available Reading Circle features. Tokens, passwords, secrets, the service’s internal sign-in identifier, and other users’ private data are not included.

Delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open Profile and Settings.
3. Scroll to Account deletion.
4. Tap Delete account and confirm twice.

What is deleted

• the account, profile, and linked sign-in methods;
• server sessions and device data;
• quotes, thoughts, notes, sources, and tags;
• return history and synchronization data;
• related Circle, blocking, and report data within the current implementation.

After confirmation, the server removes data from the production database and the app clears the active local library on that device. Copies on another device may remain locally until the next synchronization or until the app is deleted there.

Backups

Deleted data may technically remain in protected backups for up to 30 days. Backups are not used for ordinary operation and are deleted by rotation. If a disaster-recovery backup is restored, the deletion request must be applied again.

If you cannot sign in

Email hello@tuaev-dev.ru from the address associated with the account with the subject “Account deletion.” Do not send a password, one-time code, or tokens. To protect your data, support may ask you to verify account ownership safely.

Local mode without an account

If you did not create an account, there is nothing to delete on the server. Delete entries in the app. To remove all local data, delete Margent from your device and review your iPhone backup settings.
